CHILDREN BORN IN A BRITISH OVERSEAS TERRITORY A child who is born in a British overseas territory will be a British overseas territories citizen otherwise than by descent if, when the child was born, a parent was: • a British overseas territories citizen; or • settled in a British overseas territory.
