What is the importance of homework in our life?

Why is homework important in high school?
The goal of homework, especially in the high school years, is for students to spend more time studying a subject and engaging in the curriculum assuming the homework is designed to be meaningful and engaging rather than passive activities that don’t truly engage or promote understanding of new concepts.
Is homework an essential part of learning?
Doing homework helps students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. In grappling with subject matter, students form opinions, develop interests and goals and learn how to analyze, focus their attention and organize their thoughts. Studying at home is as critical to achievement as studying in class.
