These interviews were analysed and found there to be six subordinate categories created around the idea of maintaining and developing friendships as they enter university. The six subordinate categories are as follows: culture, proximity, length & strength of relationship, mutual learning & understanding, level of communication and comfortability.
How did I do my research on friendships?
The study used one interview conducted by myself and an analysis of two other interviews conducted using the same ideologies. The only requirement of the interviewee was that they studied at university.
