Are you looking for life skills training for adults with disabilities? Aptiv’s Daily Living Skills Training program provides services to adults with disabilities who have adequate motor and adaptive skills to train for life skills in a closely supervised and structured setting.

When does adult day treatment and training start?

The Adult Day Treatment and Training program runs year long from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. As a service to our families, we offer transportation to the program and back home again (some restrictions apply). Please call the program office to make arrangements.

Is there a curriculum for adults with developmental disabilities?

Although I have never used it, I am familiar with the commercially available product, the Specific Natural Activity Program (SNAP) Curriculum. This curriculum includes a series of over 200 topics that deal with typical issues faced by adults with developmental disabilities.

What kind of adult education programs serve students with disabilities?

I know we have group members that work in a variety of different types of adult education programs serving students with disabilities. With this message, I want to focus on serving students with developmental/intellectual challenges. For those that are in self-contained, specialized programs, I am interested in what type of curriculum you use.
