Basic Economy tickets can’t be changed once you complete your booking. However, our 24-hour flexible booking policy allows you to cancel a reservation within 24 hours of booking your trip, as long as you completed your purchase one week or more prior to the original scheduled departure flight.
Do you need a ticket if you are an US citizen?
US citizens do not need an onward or return ticket nor do Crew members of most Ocean going vessels. The odds are that if your passport/citizenship requires a Visa, you would need some sort of onward or return ticket. By definition though, if onward or return ticket is required, this does not necessarily mean an airline.

When do monthly MTA tickets go on sale?
Monthly tickets are available for purchase beginning on the 25th of the preceding month. For example, you can purchase a December monthly ticket as early as Nov. 25. Please note, however, that you will not be able to use that ticket until Dec. 1.
Where can I buy a Quik Trak ticket?

How do you activate a MTA eTix ticket?
Go to your Ticket Wallet and tap the “Activate Ticket” button for the applicable ticket. Tickets stay active for the duration of your trip. (Monthly and weekly tickets stay active for the duration of the ticket. You don’t need to reactive them each time they’re used.) Show your activated ticket to the conductor when asked.
