A blog is a web site, the main content of which is regularly published posts (posts). Records can contain: text, video, audio, images, etc. Blogs can be different, like their content, purpose. A feature of the blog is that visitors can leave comments on posts and participate in discussions.
I note that blogs are actively used for educational purposes. Teacher and Blogger in one person can effectively apply their blog in order to convey useful information to visitors and share their point of view. In response to receive other people’s opinions in the form of comments and emails.
There is a good presentation on the Internet, which is called “11 advantages of using a blog for learning.” I did not translate all the benefits literally, but decided to convey the basic, and in my opinion, important thoughts:
When using a blog, training does not depend on time and place. That is, in any place where there is Internet, the user can access the information.
Students can take an active part in the discussion of records, formulate tasks based on them and jointly solve them.
The blog facilitates the involvement of students in active interaction with each other and the teacher throughout the course and, possibly, even after its completion.
Students learn to express their thoughts (questions, answers) in writing in the form of comments.
There is an opportunity to trace the direction of reasoning of a certain person, for example, the author (teacher, blogger) or those who actively participate in commenting on articles. This advantage, for example, is not possible in the Wiki.
When using a blog, the educational process becomes more informal and liberated.
Discussions can be joined by completely different people who are also interested in this topic.
The blog allows you to easily embed various multimedia elements (video, animation, pictures, etc.).
The creation and maintenance of a blog does not require the teacher to make any serious financial costs. On the Internet, there are many services that allow you to quickly create and continue to blog for free.
There is always an opportunity to return to the material that has been passed, even after completing the course.

As we can see, the learning process is moving towards access to educational resources through online services and systems. Teachers and teachers begin to create and maintain their educational blogs, which are often more effective than standard ways of interacting with students, for example, such as paper methodologies and lectures at the blackboard.
